| Bejun Mehta & Collegium 1704 |
The American countertenor Bejun Mehta within his very specific falsetto tenor category is one of the world’s top singers. His enormous talent and musicality also astonished Leonard Bernstein himself back at the time when Mr. Mehta was a child. He is a wonderful interpreter of Baroque music in particular, with Georg Friedrich Handel’s oeuvre being pivotal for his vocal register. Bejun Mehta will be performing selected Handel works at his first-ever concert in Prague. There are arias from Amadigi di Gaula, Riccardo Primo, Agrippina, Giulio Cesare, Radamisto and Orlando, and instrumental music from Rinaldo, Joseph, Atalanta, Athalia, Solomon and Comcerto grosso Op. 3, Nr. 5 d minor on the programme.
