MY COUNTRY

SEASON VZLET 2024

Petr Skalka’s extraordinarily successful solo recital in March took us through cello suites into the fascinating musical world of the Baroque great Johann Sebastian Bach.

Musical Journeys Across Europe continue on 30 April with a magical evening just before Walpurgis Night. Together with the bewitching Italian soprano Naomi Rivieccio and the chamber ensemble Talenti Vulcanici, under the direction of harpsichordist Stefano Demicheli, we will uncover the musical treasures of the famous composers of the divine Naples.

“I often come across the widespread notion that art is in the interest of a small group of people who are subsidized out of the public pocket. The opposite is true. Culture represents a benefit not only for the society but also for the economy, through related fields such as hospitality and transport, and these by far exceed the amount invested into culture through subsidies and grants.”
