Pour féliciter 2016 from the Collegium 1704!

PF 2016

We thank you kindly for your support and patronage throughout the past year and we wish you all the very best in the upcoming year 2016!

HOW WAS 2015?
For us, this has been an extraordinary year – and not only because we celebrated our 10th anniversary. What was especially crucial were our concerts performed throughout Europe, for example our residency at the Bachfest Leipzig and a debut at the Salzburger Festspiele where we have been invited this year too.
In Prague and Dresden, we performed many remarkable concerts, like two-times-in-a-row sold-out Rudolfinum with Bach's Mass in B minor (our anniversary concert), high-spirited Sandrine Piau, mysterious Monteverdi's Vespro in our new "home" at the Prague Crossroads or starry Ann Hallenberg in the near past. We meet regularly with many of you at our concerts: at present, we have over 500 subscribers to our Prague concert series! And this is something we want to thank you for.

Also the numbers of our Patrons are growing: to our great happiness and appreciation. Up to now, the Patrons club has over 60 supporters over the whole world! We want to heartily thank to all who has supported us this year. Two times per year, we regularly meet at Collegium 1704 Patron's meetings, we open the doors to our dress rehearsals, we help in providing tickets to our concerts around Europe, including Salzburger Festspiele, we grant complimentary tickets to our concerts in Prague and Dresden and many more. If you want to get closer to your orchestra and haven't sent your donation yet, you have now the last chance to join your creativity with ours and support us ...and also deduct the donation from your taxes this year

Right away in January, we're going to tour over the most prestigious European venues: we have been invited again to the Konzerthaus Wien, De Bijloke in Gent in Belgium, to the Kölner Philharmonie, and Laeiszhalle in Hamburg. Great honor for us is an invitation from the Berliner Philharmonie in May, we're also very much looking forward to a concert with Andreas Scholl at the Prague Spring Festival. At the Salzburger Festspiele, we are going to begin our European tour with monumental Missa Salisburgensis by H.I.F. Biber which will continue in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Chapelle Royale ve Versailles and other honourable places. Within the fall tour with Anna Bonitatibus, we are going to come to England for the first time. Our English debut will take place in nothing less than the Wigmore Hall. This is to name some of the many projects of the 2016, which will be very intensive on the international scene.

Also, all of the upcoming concerts of the Collegium 1704's Season in Prague and Dresden will be extraordinary events for us: beginning the new tradition of performing concert versions of the operas with Purcell's Dido and Aeneas on 5 February in Rudolfinum Prague, continues with Scarlatti's St John Passion, Messiah in the Easter time in Prague and Dresden and a comeback of fantastic Raffaella Milanesi at the end of the 2015/16 series.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you at our concerts in 2016 and wish to thank you once again for your patronage and support.

We wish you a lot of happiness and successes in the New Year 2016.

Yours Collegium 1704
