The season 2020—21 will be inaugurated by one of the most famous works in the history of music, Handel’s Messiah, and this “messianic” spirit pervades the dramaturgy of the whole concert series. The unconventional programme of the Advent concert will recreate the atmosphere of Italian Baroque Christmas and we shall celebrate the arrival of the New Year with Mozart’s Coronation Mass.

Together with VOSTO5 theatre company and Kino Pilotů cinema, the Collegium 1704 is going to present a new venue for cultural events, rehearsals, lectures and community gatherings. The former 1920´s cinema VZLET in Prague 10 is going to open for public in Spring 2021. Through a crowd-funding campaign on the platform Donio we managed to raise 1 251 218 CZK. We are going to use the means for the necessary sound and light equipment and for visitor facilities, such as the cloakroom, the foyer, and the café. Thanks to all contributors!

Further concerts of concert cycle Music Bridge Prague – Dresden at 16th and 17th of November

938301 576051 c1704 banner tic 180 180 1012 v1Further concerts of the concert cycle Music Bridge Prague – Dresden will be held at the 16th of November at Annenkirche in Dresden as well as at the 17th of November in St. Simon and Jude Church in Prague. The programme Prague Vespers will feature music that was heard in Prague churches in the first half of the 18th century, amongst others Antonio Vivaldi’s Magnificat RV 610. We are pleased that the Dresdner Kammerchor has accepted the invitation to participate in a joint performance of this programme. The evening programme as pdf-file you can find here.
