The season 2020—21 will be inaugurated by one of the most famous works in the history of music, Handel’s Messiah, and this “messianic” spirit pervades the dramaturgy of the whole concert series. The unconventional programme of the Advent concert will recreate the atmosphere of Italian Baroque Christmas and we shall celebrate the arrival of the New Year with Mozart’s Coronation Mass.

Our plans for the summer 2014

10356252 10152470776951900 4765552356034668673 nCollegium 1704 will be performing in one of the prestigious festivals, Festival
Chopin i Jego Europa
on 20th August. The program will be a non-traditional event that will consist of the music from Rossini, Donzietti and Bellini, which you may be familiar with from our previous concerts with Raffaella Milanesi at the Rudolfinum. The program will consist of the music of Rossini, Donizetti and Bellini. For the first time ever we will also be performing an extraordinary Symphony in D major by the Czech composer J. V. H. Vořišek. According to the dramaturgy of the Chopin Festival, the music is much younger than the one usually presented by Collegium 1704.
It's a great privilege and honour to be resident guests and perform at a number of dates in one of the biggest festivals of early music in the world, Oude Muzik Utrecht. Collegium 1704 will be performing on three different concerts, dramaturgy linked to Bohemia: the first and the opening concert will take place on 29th August with the music from Zelenka, Tuma and Fux (broadcasted live by Avro TV and Dutch Radio 4). On 1st September, there will be a performance of Oratorio di San Giovanni Nepomuceno from the Italian composer Antonio Caldara. The final concert on 2nd September called "Salon Praga 1723" will introduce instrumental music by Zelenka, Reichenauer, Brescianello and Orschler.
In late summer, we will come back to Poland, where Collegium 1704 is very popular, for two another concerts, on 6th and 7th September, at the legendary festival Wratislavia Cantans. This year's festival theme is "From Darkness to Light" and Collegium 1704 will perform Handel's 'Dixit Dominus' and the Requiem in D major by Jan Dismas Zelenka.
