Season 2019-2020 in Prague and Dresden could be described as a season of oratorios. Collegium 1704 performed perhaps the most famous work in the genre, Handel´s Messiah, and also Stradella’s San Giovanni Battista and Handel’s La Resurrezione. For the very first time, audiences in Prague and Dresden could hear Vivaldi’s opera Arsilda, regina di Ponto in a live performance.

Mysliveček's L'Olimpiade nominated for Opera Awards!

International Opera AwardsMysliveček's L'Olimpiade, presented last year by Collegium 1704 in Prague, Luxembourg, Dijon and Caen, has been nominated for British prestigious International Opera Awards within the Rediscovered Work category. Together with Olimpiade, projects by festivals Aix-en-Provence, Wexford and American Bard College have been nominated.

The Opera Awards winners were announced on 7 April 2014 in London and our congratulations go to the opera "Cristina, regina di Svezia" produced by Wexford Festival, winning The International Opera Award in Rediscovered Works category.

The nomination itself is an honor for us and a wonderful success for Czech
culture, as well as Mysliveček's music, which more than deserves to be appreciated again.
