The season 2020—21 will be inaugurated by one of the most famous works in the history of music, Handel’s Messiah, and this “messianic” spirit pervades the dramaturgy of the whole concert series. The unconventional programme of the Advent concert will recreate the atmosphere of Italian Baroque Christmas and we shall celebrate the arrival of the New Year with Mozart’s Coronation Mass.

The famed mezzo soprano Vivica Genaux will grace the March concert titled Il divino Boemo at the Rudolfinum

This fact has also been underscored by the recent production of Mysliveček’s opera L'Olimpiade performed by Collegium 1704 with Václav Luks. That production has enjoyed triumphant successes on European opera stages and has been recently nominated to Opera Awards in Rediscovered Works.

The world-famous American mezzo soprano Vivica Genaux will appear as the soloist for this concert in Dvořák Hall at Prague’s Rudolfinum. It's not Genaux' first encounter with Collegium 1704 nor Mysliveček: in 2011 they together won hearts of Strings of Autumn festival audience as can be seen on a video documentary and pictures from the concert.

Tickets (from 200 to 900 CZK, reduced from 140 to 665 CZK) are available on line at www.ceskafilharmonie.cz and in the Rudolfinum box office, then, you can also book your tickets via Bohemia Ticket and Prague Ticket Office – Via Musica networks.
